Battle of the Bands GOLDILOX makes a Forever Changed comeback and continues the battle.

Already seen in Hollywood, the highly acclaimed “Dance of The Butterfly” Event, will take place on Sunday 26th February 2017 with GOLDILOX (Klifdrift Battle of The Bands 2014, 2nd place) as the headline act, in support of lead singer JARRED WOOD who is battling with brain cancer.

TV and Radio Producer/Presenter Paulinah Somo will once again be the celebrity co host, alongside highly acclaimed well known actor and drama teacher Renos Nicos Spanoudes. The“Dance of The Butterfly” is the only official licenced event to screen The Forever Changed Documentary, in support of The Forever Changed Global Awareness Campaign. The campaign objective is to spread the message of choice and prevention for health enthusiasts, care givers, including newly diagnosed warriors who all benefit enormously from understanding how to face life after diagnosis. Not only will audiences be empowered, but will also be entertained. Member of Parliament and Member of the Judicial Services Commission, Narend Singh who recently attended the KZN media launch, says “This documentary is an eye-opener which reminds us of things we should already know. There is a powerful message that needs to be shared with all, not only warriors, but with doctors and oncologists. Addi is a true warrior for the cause”.

GOLDILOX genre can be described as Alternative Fund, Blues with Indi, with a Hip Hop fusion, has recently made a long awaited comeback following lead singer JARRED WOOD’s  battle with brain cancer and on-going recovery from surgery and radiation. Formed 5 years ago, GOLDILOX is a thriving 6 member band with influences that differ, as do their individual interests but when combined, they create a sound like no other. GOLDILOX are now playing the circuits around Jhb, with performances coming up at Garden Shmarden, Rumours Lounge and will appear on the Ripple Zone Stage at Smoking Dragon.

Already seen throughout Gauteng, KZN and Cape Town,  the most recent event held at King David Linksfield’s auditorium,  paid tribute to the memory of well known South African actor and fallen warrior, JANNES EISELEN who recently lost his 6 year battle. Performers included Debbie Motladi, (in South Africa for a short time before returning to LA to continue her performing career), with GOLDILOX entertaining the audience. Guest performer, (in support of his brave warrior brother), was 25 year old Joshua Wood, an independent singer/songwriter/musician based in Jhb.  Inspired by contemporary indie, RnB and alternative influences, Joshua’s music aims to celebrate our differences and unify us through a common struggle …”too sad to be happy but certainly too happy to be sad” Joshua will be playing at Wolves on 17 November and see his facebook page to keep up to date with upcoming performances.

Sandton based breast cancer warrior, Addi Lang (founder of The Forever Changed Global Awareness Campaign and executive producer of The Forever Changed Documentary) who launched the inhouse corporate wellness workshops called “Live Life Deliberately” during PINKtober (now available to the corporate sector), says she is honoured to have been able to identify sponsorship from MediaCom South Africa, which will enhance her efforts, not only to spread the campaign message with ambassadors, but to further assist battle weary warriors and honour fallen warriors. Says Claudelle Naidoo, Head of Insights & New Business Director “Just like Addi Lang, MediaCom believes that information can empower people. As a content and connections agency, we connect people with the content that they need – even if they don’t know it yet. In essence, this is also what Ms. Lang does. Through her “Forever Changed Global Awareness” campaign, ambassadors are empowering the public through education that is both informative and entertaining”.Other local lifestyle partners include Jetline Sandown, 4AKID and AfoodAffair.
