Question 1:

Who is MediaCom?

As one of the world’s leading content agencies, MediaCom’s nearly 800 employees create content strategies and execute projects for some of the globe’s largest advertisers across 44 markets.
MediaCom forms a key part of GroupM, which is WPP’s global media operations arm. Combined, the group manages $104.5 billion in media buying.
The South African division’s prestigious list of clients include Pfizer, Coca-Cola, Volkswagen, Times Media Films, Procter & Gamble, and Shell to name a few. 

Question 2:

Why did MediaCom choose to get involved with Forever Changed as their CSI initiative?

MediaCom’s slogan is “People first, better results.” Our CSI strategy was therefore to get involved in a cause that puts people – and their emotional and physical needs – first, in order to achieve the best results possible.
It was also important to our company that whichever NGO we chose to get involved with, must be a cause that is near and dear to our employees’ hearts. After shortlisting a few options, Forever Changed stood out for us for various reasons.
Just like Addi Lang, the founder of Forever Changed, MediaCom believes that information can empower people. As a content and connections agency, we connect people with the content that they need – even if they don’t know it yet. In essence, this is also what Ms. Lang does. Through her “Forever Changed Global Awareness” campaign, ambassadors are empowering the public through education that is both informative and entertaining.
Although we operate in two very different industries, there was a clear alignment between MediaCom and Forever Changed’s approach. 
On an emotional level, many of our staff members and their loved ones have been affected by this disease. By supporting Forever Changed’s cause, we can also drive education about cancer – and the various support and treatment options available – within the organisation.

How is MediaCom involved with Forever Changed?

Currently, MediaCom supports Forever Changed as a financial sponsor as well as staff donating their time as volunteers.

What is the long-term vision for the MediaCom/Forever Changed partnership?

MediaCom’s main vision for the Forever Changed partnership is ultimately to make a real difference by adding real value to people’s lives.
Claudelle Naidoo, Mediacom’s Head of New Business and Insights, says that fundamentally, it is all about people. “Our company wanted to make sure that our involvement with a CSI initiative makes a holistic and sustainable impact. We didn’t want to simply give money to a cause, we wanted to become part of the cause by being part of the people’s lives Forever Changed touches. This cause is very important to us, and that is why we believe there is a need to make a true impact on each individual’s life – in terms of medical treatment, care-giving, emotional support, financial assistance – which is why Forever Changed is such an appropriate name for this charity.”
