Durban get ready for a finale never to be missed – Chatsworth’s Got Talent Finals

It’s the final leg of the competition, and things could not be any hotter!
The semi-finals of the competition was held this Saturday, 1st October 2016, where the selected contestants from the first and second round of auditions competed in the semi-finals. The 51 successful contestants gave it their all for a spot in the finals. Unfortunately, only a select number of spots were up for grabs, and the judges have made their choices. The scores are in, and the number is about to get smaller, as all focus turns to the FINAL round of the competition.

The competition has received a tremendous amount of support over the past 3 weeks, and the level of talent that has been displayed has certainly exceeded expectations. This year the competition has seen a record breaking number of entrants, contestants and supporters gather as members of the community showcase their talent. With the competition nearing its close, all eyes are on the 20 finalists who will be performing for the top spot on Saturday, 8th October 2016.

Contestants in Chatsworth’s Got Talent 2016, stand a chance of winning their share of R 35 000 in cash. Winners in each category will each receive R 12 000 cash and an artist management contract for the duration of one-year worth R 10 000, courtesy of Big M Productions. The winner in the music category will also receive a record label with AMA Music & Multimedia worth R 7 200 and will have a chance of recording one track. Runners up will each receive R 4 500 cash in both categories.

Adding momentum to the competition, Chatsworth Centre will also be giving away R 2 000 cash to one of the contestants in the Community’s Choice Award. In order to vote for your favourite contestant, LIKE the Chatsworth Centre Facebook Fan page and then LIKE your favourite contestant’s photo. It’s that easy! All photos have been uploaded and the community has until 08h00 on Saturday 8th October 2016 to LIKE their favourite contestants photo.

The contestant with the most LIKES will win the Community’s Choice Award and the cash prize which will be given away at the final event to be held on Saturday, 8th October 2016.
Careers 2000 is celebrating their 25th anniversary and as a bonus to the community, they are giving away eight Tablets to the value of R9 600! Each Winner and runner up will receive a tablet as part of their prize. The remaining four tablets will be given away each Saturday at the Chatsworth’s Got Talent shows. 1 Tablet will be given away per Saturday. This week’s lucky winner was Mr Navendren Arjunan. To stand a chance to win this Tablet, simply visit us the day of the final and fill out an entry form on the day. The draw for the lucky winner will take place on the same day of entry.
This year we have added a spend and win element to this event. Shoppers that spend R250 or more between the 10th September 2016 till the 8th October 2016 at any store in the Centre, present their till slips and fill in an entry form at the information desk. All participants stand a chance of winning one of three shopping vouchers worth R1500 each for the first three Saturdays. One voucher will be given on each Saturday. All entries will then go into a lucky draw for the final grand prize a shopping voucher worth R5500. This week’s lucky winner of a R1500 gift voucher was Michelle Jugdis. The final draw will be held on the day of the finals for Chatsworth Got Talent 8th October 2016. T’s & C’s Apply.
