With the joyous excitement of PINKtober just around the corner, Sandton based breast cancer warrior, Addi Lang, founder of The Forever Changed Global Awareness Campaign and executive producer of The Forever Changed Documentary have identified local partnerships. Promotions are lined up for 10th and 17th PINKtober at Jetline Sandown and customers will be treated to giveaways and discount vouchers, all in support of cancer warriors.
After the loss of his mother to cancer 5 years ago, owner of Jetline Sandown, Ahmed D has partnered with The Forever Changed Global Awareness Campaign for the past 12 months and says “ In this way we are able to spread the message of choice and prevention for health enthusiasts, care givers, including newly diagnosed warriors who all benefit enormously from understanding how to face life after diagnosis. The public will be empowered by watching the Forever Changed Documentary, (hosted at Dance of The Butterfly Events) produced and directed by The African Motion Picture Company. Audiences will understand more about the journey that South African warrior Addi Lang has been on, including what prompted her to create this global warning, and includes interviews with warriors from around the world explaining their different treatment options.
Toni Becker, PR and Media Director for Jetline Headoffice says “We are delighted to be supporting this initiative during October which is not just about wearing a pink ribbon, but rather, encouraging the public to be aware of their choices, and promote that knowledge is power. We are also donating proceeds through the event ticket sales and campaign memorabilia, all to support brave warriors who are battling with cancer. Our target market is all our customers who are a definite combination of men and women, (as October generally focuses on women only) being health enthusiasts, cancer warriors, caregivers and members of the media and public.
Tenants from Merchant Place include Salon Tre’s Belle Beauty Spa, Triptik Hair and Fego Caffe are all participating by providing giveaways, gift vouchers and treats for customers, all in support of The Forever Changed Global Awareness Campaign.
“The Dance Of The Butterfly Events on the 30th October at King David Linksfield and 6th November at King David Victory Park will be a tribute to the memory of well known South African actor and fallen warrior Jannes Eiselen who has just lost his 6 year battle to cancer. In addition proceeds will be donated to Jarred and Fred Wood who are also fighting for their lives. Performers will include TV and Radio Producer/Presenter Paulinah Somo, the highly acclaimed Renos Spandoudes, musician Joshua Wood and 12 year old Miescha. A special appearance will be made by Jarred Wood with his band called “GOLDILOX”
