With the joyous excitement of PINKtober just around the corner, Sandton based breast cancer warrior, Addi Lang, founder of The Forever Changed Global Awareness Campaign and executive producer of The Forever Changed Documentary says, “The Dance Of The Butterfly Events on the 30th October at King David Linksfield and 6th November at King David Victory Park will be a tribute to the memory of fallen warrior Jannes Eiselen who has just lost his 6 year battle to cancer. In addition proceeds will be donated to Jarred and Fred Wood who are also fighting for their lives. Performers will include TV and Radio Producer/Presenter Paulinah Somo, the highly acclaimed Renos Spandoudes, musician Joshua Wood and 12 year old Miescha.A special appearance will be made by Jarred Wood with his band called “GOLDILOX”
After an incredibly well received launch in Santa Monica earlier this year, the National Campaign Director, Belinde Davidson says “The Forever Changed Global Awareness Campaign has gained an enormous momentum after the original press conference held in Oct 2014, and we have hosted 6 well received Dance of The Butterfly Events which are the only official licenced events able to screen theForever Changed Documentary. In this way we are able to spread the message of choice and prevention for health enthusiasts, care givers, including newly diagnosed warriors who all benefit enormously from understanding how to face life after diagnosis. Here audiences will be empowered by watching theForever Changed Documentary, produced and directed by The African Motion Picture Company. Audiences will understand more about the journey that south African warrior Addi Lang has been on, including what prompted her to create this global warning, and includes interviews with warriors from around the world explaining their different treatment options.
Lana Lauderdale (Entertainment Manager for the Blue Marlin Hotel) says “We are delighted to be supporting this initiative here in KZN on Saturday 22nd Oct, which is not just about wearing a pink ribbon, but rather, empowering audiences, including a dash of light entertainment for our guests through a flamboyant fashion show. We are also donating proceeds through the event ticket sales and campaign memorabilia, all to support brave warriors who are battling with cancer. Our guests will be a definite combination of men and women, (as October generally focuses on women only) being health enthusiasts, cancer warriors, caregivers and members of the media and public. Addi Lang was the key note speaker at our very successful Secretaries Day event last year, where she spoke about the Forever Changed Global Awareness Campaign and the making of her 50 minute Forever Changed Documentary, our guests are sure to find enormous value in attending this event and meeting her in person.”
Celebrities around the world are lending their voices to help spread the message of the Forever Changed Global Awareness Campaign during PINKtober and throughout the year, with Award Winning singer/songwriter Aly Cook who is interviewed in the documentary, and wrote and recorded the theme song in New Zealand.
Nate Butler, A & R The X Factor (USA Season 3) and Americas Got Talent, who will be in South Africa next week, to perform at The International ARTS Talent Showcase, (IATS) with the formidable Kim Myers (also based in the USA), as one of the entertainment industry leaders and Director of Applause Rising Talent Showcase, (ARTS), Orlando, USA, is also interviewed in the Forever Changed Documentary and is planning to host an event in Atlanta in the near future. Just You Model Management, owned by Elsubie and Jeff Verlinden, who represent Kim Myers and Nate Butler in South Africa, are also supporting the Forever Changed Global Awareness Campaign and provide entertainers for each event which Elsubie says” adds lightness to an otherwise heavy topic”. Blaze Johnson, from The Voice, USA will be joining Kim Myers and Nate Butler (all represented by Just You Model Management) and has ensured that performers in Israel are also supporting the campaign on the 23rd November with a live appearance from dynamic Steve Marshall. Through this butterfly effect, Kim Myers and Elsubie Verlinden are looking into including Israel in their talent searches during 2017.
