Chatsworth definitely has talent! After this Saturday’s first audition round of Chatsworth’s Got Talent, we have witnessed an explosive amount of very enthusiastic and talented individuals that took over the stage and impressed the judges with their performances. All contestants have given off their best and shown Chatsworth that they really do have talent!
Currently in its sixth consecutive year, Chatsworth’s Got Talent has become a signature event at Chatsworth Centre and has provided an opportunity for talented individuals to showcase their skills in stage performances by either providing a dance or singing act. The talent competition is run over four consecutive Saturday’s with two audition rounds, a semi-final round and a grand finale which will take place on Saturday, 8th October 2016. The first stage of auditions was held on the 17th September 2016 and the second audition will be taking place this Saturday, 24th September 2016. Only 50% of the successful contestants from the first and second audition will go through to the semi-finals. All semi-finalists will be showcased in the Chatsworth Tabloid next week. Only 20 of the finest performers from the semi-finals will then go through to the finals.
Contestants in Chatsworth’s Got Talent 2016, stand a chance of winning their share of R 35 000 in cash. Winners in each category will each receive R 12 000 cash and an artist management contract for the duration of one-year worth R 10 000, courtesy of Big M Productions. The winner in the music category will also receive a record label with AMA Music & Multimedia worth R 7 200 and will have a chance of recording one track. Runners up will each receive R 4 500 cash in both categories.
Adding momentum to the competition, Chatsworth Centre will also be giving away R 2 000 cash to one of the contestants in the Community’s Choice Award. In order to vote for your favourite contestant, LIKE the Chatsworth Centre Facebook Fan page and then LIKE your favourite contestant’s photo. It’s that easy!
The contestant with the most LIKES will win the Community’s Choice Award and the cash prize which will be given away at the final event to be held on Saturday, 8th October 2016.
Careers 2000 is celebrating their 25th anniversary and as a bonus to the community, they are giving away 8 Tablets to the value of R9 600! Each Winner and runner up will receive a tablet as part of their prize. The remaining four tablets will be given away each Saturday at the Chatsworth’s Got Talent shows. 1 Tablet will be given away per Saturday. This week’s lucky winner was Ruth Pillay. To stand a chance to win this Tablet, simply visit us on any Saturday from the 17th September 2016 – 8th October 2016 and fill out an entry form on the day. The draw for the lucky winner will take place on the same day of entry.
This year we have added a spend and win element to this event. Shoppers that spend R250 or more between the 10th September 2016 till the 8th October 2016 at any store in the Centre, present their till slips and fill in an entry form at the information desk. All participants stand a chance of winning one of three shopping vouchers worth R1500 each for the first three Saturdays. One voucher will be given on each Saturday. All entries will then go into a lucky draw for the final grand prize a shopping voucher worth R5500. This week’s lucky winner of a R1500 gift voucher was Le-Ann Kader. Judging the entire competition are three independent judges who all stream from an entertainment industry of singing, dancing and choreography and are responsible for providing all contestants with professional tips and advice.
