XFactor South African Only On SABC 1

A Special Thanks To Eliezer Hilmer For Getting Myself And My Three Beautiful Cousin’s Tickets To The XFactor SA Live Show – 22 November 2014

  • It was all set to go as we reached the Olive Convention Centre at around 4pm on Saturday, 22 November 2014. All excited as we got our tags and went to the queue to enter so that we can be seated. Apart from people cutting the line, it was a great wait.
  • We got into the Xfactor Arena and I was amazed at how big everything was. We were introduced by a comedian who told us a few jokes and there after briefed by the producer and floor manager on what to do and what not to do.
  • It was a few minutes pass six when we were counted down to the beginning our the 5th Live Show. Andile (The Presenter) welcomed us and the judges, Oskido (Groups), Zonke (Over 25’s) And Arno (Under 25’s). He also mentioned that this week the top 6 Contestants had to prepare songs from ” The Great South African Song Book”
  • First to perform was a beautiful young girl from Arno’s group, BUBBLES. She Sang Paradise Road by famous South African Group JOY.
  • Moving right along it was time for my Man Mr ELIEZER to take the stage as he sang Scatterlings Of Africa by Johnny Clegg
  • We were then in the presence of IZIQHAZA who sang Homeless by Ladysmith Black Mambazo
  • Followed By Princess Who Sang Feeling by Zonke ,wasn’t she brave?
  • Up next to take to the stage was Oskido’s Final Group FOUR who sang Via Orlando by DR Malinga
  • It was Zonke’s turn again to announce her next contestant and he goes by the name of Wonderboy who sang Take Your Love (Unknown Artist)
  • During the Live Result Show, all 6 acts performed a great rendition of one of SA’s Top Songs, Jabulani. The special performance of the night was none other than John Legend, who performed his latest hit single, YOU & I.
  • It was time to hear the results as well all gripped to our seats and you can feel the tension in the room, Andile Begins to announce those acts going through to next weeks Quarter Finals.
  • First to be saved was, Iziqhaza followed by Wonderboy and Four. It was nail biting to see my Favourite Eliezer stand up there not knowing if he will again be in the bottom two and just at that moment Andile announces and Eliezer was through to next weeks Quarter Finals, which left both Bubbles And Princess both of which are Arno’s Contestants in the bottom two sing off.
  • Bubbles and Princess brought their A game and sang their hearts off in the sing off. Oskido sent Princess home whilst Zonke sent Bubbles home leaving Arno to make the final decision. He mentioned that both acts did extremely great in the competition thus far but he will have to send Princess home due to the fact that she was in the bottom two more than Bubbles!
  • With all that said and indeed one of the greatest experiences of my life, 5 Contestants Remain in this weeks Quarter Finals as they get to sing to you South Africa for your votes.
